Love is timeless, and romantic stories have been around since Ancient Greece. While many people enjoy using literature to escape to the past, there are also plenty of great books about relatable characters falling in love in the modern age. With that in mind, we've compiled a list of twelve sensational works of contemporary romance. Take note that this list is done in no particular order.
First up, at #1, we have "Cocksure" by Shiloh Walker. Sabrina is the personal assistant of Hollywood star Luke Cochran. One day, Luke's sister asks him to come home and visit his sick mother, and he brings his assistant along with him. In a panicked effort to make his mother happy, he tells her that Sabrina is his fiance. Eventually, Aubrey learns about her look-alike, and now she has to figure out if Jordan's feelings for her are genuine.

Now, they have to put their differences aside in order to save the city from a deadly hurricane and an out of control wildfire.
